~Call Me Kat's Poem Page~
~On The Day Of The Storm~
Silence falls across the land as it waits, Waits for the lightning to strike. Waits for the sound of the thunder. Then slowly it begins to rain.
Trinkling down from the clouds.
Hitting what ever is in its path.
Pitter, patter, the rain hits the roof tops
then slides down over the edge.
Down, down, down it falls to the ground.
Then finds its place to rest.
It waits on the ground for its friends,
To fall, fall, fall, from the sky.
The more it rains the greater the puddle.
Then out comes the sun.
Shining bright for the world down below.
As if it is a new light and a birth of a new earth.
Then out in the distance across the sky,
A rainbow is formed.
Almost out of no where it appears.
It is a sign with a message, sent with a hug.
The rainbow hugs the sky.
It seems to never stop.
Until all knows what magic took place,

~ NOT KNOWING ~
As I sit in my house all alone I sit listening to the rain fall. I have a sad feeling inside me. It makes me think of the man that I love, and how I am missing him so,
I try to stay busy, but even pausing for one second,
makes me think of him,
My insides are crying,
I can feel the tears forming in the corner of my eyes.
I am hoping that you aren't feeling the same way as I do right now,
My heart is longing to read your words.
My ears are longing to hear your voice,
My mind, heart, and soul is longing for the closeness I feel when I talk to you,
They say love is painful, right now I have to agree,
It is painful to want something so bad that you can't think of any thing else,
It is painful to want to hear your voice for a second.
It is painful to know there isn't any thing I can do about it,
It is painful to know that all we can do is wait,
Wait for the moment I can get in touch with you,
Until then I have to wait patiently not knowing how I will make it through the night with you in my mind,
Not knowing how long I will have to wait.
Not knowing, not knowing, not knowing.
